Connor stood in his garden looking at the grapes. They are ripe and ready to be picked.
He plucked a grape and popped it into his mouth, closing his eyes. He savored the taste.
“Mmm… this is good”. he said . He felt proud of himself. His mind went to the conversation his had with his friend Andrew a while back.
“Could he really do it? Try to make wine out of the grapes?” It sure sounds like a fun adventure. It will be another great hobby to have. That would be a lot of work. He thought, shaking his head.
He picked another grape. It looks big and juicy. “To be a grape or to be wine?” He wonders.
…in order to make wine, the grape will be crushed, in some cultures, literally stepped on, but after the long process, what comes out on the other side, lasts longer than what it started as, not only that, it has a lot more use as a wine…
Are you in a season of being crushed?
Are you contemplating a venture that has a potential of making you feel crushed, hidden and unknown, stay the course, stay the process, because what you are becoming far exceeds what you started off as.
Remember, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion.
